Bohemian Chic Bridesmaid Style

May 18, 2017 3 min read 0 Comments

A lot goes into planning a wedding, and one of the most important if not the most important – detail, is your overall wedding theme and style. My favourite style for a wedding has always been bohemian chic (also known as boho chic). When I think of bohemian for a wedding I always imagine gorgeous florals, luxurious textures and touches of gold everywhere. When you're planning your wedding you need to think of every last detail, and your bridal party is no exception.

I love helping brides not only style themselves for their big day, but their bridesmaids as well. Choosing complementary gowns, makeup and hair looks, and of course, jewelry, are all very important details to think of when it comes to dressing your bridal party. There will be endless photographs being taken during the day, and you want to make sure your besties are looking their finest.

 Bohemian chic bridesmaid style

With so many beautiful choices available, choosing a bridesmaid gown for the favourite ladies in your life is definitely a tough one! There are so many gorgeous boho trends that are popular this season in bridal, and when in doubt, lace is always the perfect choice when styling a bohemian chic wedding. I love this pastel blue lace dress from Asos, with its tiered skirt and high neck details. Romantic floral prints are a must, and this flutter sleeve dress from Asos is a dream come true. Off the shoulder is the trend of this season, and I’m in love with this ultra boho Hacienda maxi dress from Show Me Your Mumu.

I could spend hours going over every detail of the stunning gowns on BHLDN. This is the place to shop if you really want to add some extra chic to your boho bridesmaid style. I am absolutely in love with these two choices from BHLDN. I love the beading detail and dreamy chiffon on this Aida dress. If you’re looking to add a whimsical touch, this stunning Bobbi dress is decorated with beaded floral appliqués that will have you swooning.

Bohemian chic bridesmaid hair is all about being undone. Think messy braids, flowing curls peeking out of an updo, and long loose waves. A flower crown will never go out of boho style, and they always look amazing in photographs.

 dainty boho druzy bridesmaid jewelry

When choosing jewelry to complete your bridesmaid’s look, dainty styles always compliment and don’t take away from the completed look. I love a gorgeous sparkling Druzy gemstone for bridesmaids, and our Monica drop studs look perfect with our Brielle necklace. Brielle is 15 inches in length and has a choker style look to it, which will look beautiful on many different dress necklines. Stack on our Madison and Sofi rings and your ladies are all set!

Bridesmaid boho earrings

When you choose a gown that has embellishments, the last thing you want to do is to overwhelm and take away from the details of the dress. Adding a little sparkle with the perfect pair of earrings is a great way to finish off your bridesmaid outfits. Our Dana earrings add a bit of drama with their bold CZ gems and long linear design. These earrings will sparkle all day and night long! I love the look of a gemstone stud for bridesmaids and our Adelle and Laurel Rainbow Moonstone stud earrings add just the right mix of bohemian and modern design with a vintage flair. Are you looking for a more feminine touch? These fun-and-flirty Marcell earrings feature glittering CZ gems and beautiful matte finish white Swarovski pearls that will look stunning on all of your best gals.
